Lynda brings to Tyze her passion for using technology to connect people. Over the past 20 years, she has pioneered numerous digital media initiatives that have helped communities learn, connect and contribute.

As CEO of zuluMe Corporation, she has developed a proprietary visual-based social networking application. In her consulting work, she has worked with private and public sector clients in the areas of strategic planning, sector analysis, business development and product marketing. Lynda was the President of Canada’s largest digital media association – New Media BC for four years. During that time, she created and directed a large-scale international sector strategy called Interactive Canada: A World Centre for Digital Media. She continues to be recognized as one of the most knowledgeable people in the Canadian digital media community.

In her role at New Media BC, Lynda was the founding Executive Producer of the Vancouver International Digital Festival, the Fusion investment Forum, the founding Chair of the Digital Entertainment Taskforce, and a member of the Mobile Muse management committee. She grew the association’s project and revenue activities by more than 100% in three and a half years.

Lynda is the founding President of the Canadian Interactive Alliance (CIAIC) and she authored the Trade Team Canada, CGS New Media Trade Action Plan 2004-06. She has published numerous projects, including the first national study of the videogames industry in Canada. More recently, she played a key role in the development of a federal road map for the digital media sector and led the development of the recently published “Connecting The Dots” digital media compendium for the Cultural Human Resources Council. She has presented at dozens of international conferences, participated in United Nations missions for cultural sectors and provided regular media commentary on the state of the industry.

As CEO of GoBe Media, Lynda created one of the first Canadian companies developing hybrid PC-mobile games for kids, which she co-founded after working with Electronic Arts Canada. She has produced over 35 interactive and broadcast television titles and has a conducted a number of applied research projects in the digital media domain.

She sits on the boards of Simon Fraser University and the Vancouver International Film Festival. She is the past National President of the Wired Woman Society and is currently the Chair of the External Relations Committee for SFU. Lynda has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Masters of Education in Educational Technology.

The Canadian New Media Awards named Lynda the 2004 Volunteer of the Year and the 2005 Industry Advocate of the Year. She has been recognized as a Wondrous Woman by the Wired Woman Society, was a finalist for Women of Distinction and was named one of the top 40 under 40 in Business in Vancouver. She is also listed in the Women in the Lead directory and widely regarded for her advocacy work in the area of digital media.
